The Consulting and Entrepreneurship club of IIM Raipur recently organised the eleventh edition of Aakash Entrepreneurs Meet. The event was organised with the purpose of bringing together the entrepreneurs and students to network, exchange ideas, discuss problems and deliberate on pertinent issues related to entrepreneurship. Aakash 11.0 was graced by the presence of five successful entrepreneurs from Chhattisgarh . The dignitaries included Rajeev Roy – CEO 36 Inc, Vikram Aditya – founder of Mediklik, Nagesh banchhor – founder of Pro-C education Pv t LTD, Gaurav Agarwal – financial analyst at Real Ispat and Power Ltd. and Gaurav Shukla. The speakers provided deeper insights of the entrepreneurial world to the students of IIM Raipur.Having a diverse panel meant that everyone had a different perspective or take on entrepreneurship. They talked about various aspects like; when to begin, what could go wrong and some of their personal experiences. Starting from the financing of such ventures to marketing, operations – there was extensive coverage of all the verticals by the speakers. It was a gripping event for the students as even a two-hour discussion from the speakers seemed quite short.The takeaway for the students was – “What makes you a good entrepreneur is a strong conviction on that one idea, one product you believe will sell. Passion, commitment or innovation, when you are going to put your conviction on line, they automatically emerge within you. All that matters is how strong your conviction is.”The speakers also took several rounds of questions from the students and cleared their doubts and busted several myths regarding entrepreneurship. This open-ended discussion from students as well as the speakers has generated the entrepreneurship buzz in the minds of the future businessmen of IIM Raipur.
