Chhattisgarh polls : Jogi swears by Holy books not to support BJP

BJP supremo Mayawati and JCC founder Ajit Jogi had maintained on Friday that the alliance would keep equidistance from both the BJP and the Congress. By Vijay Singh ThakurRAIPUR: Swearing by Holy books Chhattisgarh Janata Congress founder and former chief minister Ajit Jogi asserted not to extend any support to BJP in a post poll scenario.Addressing press conference, Ajit Jogi told reporters that the propaganda about supporting BJP is a conspiracy aimed at creating confusion among the masses. “I cannot even think in my dreams that I should support BJP in a post poll scenario, he added.“ I would rather prefer to die than supporting the BJP”, he said and swore by eight Holy books including Bhagwat Geeta, Quran Sharif , Bible, Shadani Prakat and Guru Granth Saheb saying “ I will neither give support to BJP and nor take support from BJP”.Jogi said that Janata Congress Chhattisgarh (JCC) has a pre-poll alliance with Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) and Communist Party of India (CPI) for the assembly polls 2018.Former chief minister Ajit Jogi claimed that the pre-poll alliance of JCC-BSP-CPI is very strong and the alliance is in a position to form its own government.Earlier, union minister Rajnath had said that Ajit Jogi is “our friend” and after leaving the Congress he should have joined the BJP instead of forming a new party.Union home minister’s friend remark had sparked a criticism from the Congress which reiterated that Jogi and his party are “ B “ team of the ruling BJP.
