CM inaugurates devpt works of Rs 121 cr at BirgaonChief Minister Bhupesh Baghel distributing keys of e-rickshaws to beneficiaries in Birgaon. Staff Reporter :RAIPURChief Minister Bhupesh Baghel bequeathed development works worth Rs 121 crore at Birgaon at a function held at Budhwari Bazar on Sunday. These development works include Birgaon Augmented Water Supply Scheme worth Rs 104.23 crore. The Chief Minister announced opening of a branch of Zila Sahakari Bank on the request of Raipur (Rural) MLA Satyanarayan Sharma. On the occasion the Chief Minister also unveiled a statue of Mahatma Gandhi and Chhattisgarh Mahatari.

Staff Reporter : RAIPUR Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel bequeathed development works worth Rs 121 crore at Birgaon at a function held at Budhwari Bazar on Sunday. These development works include Birgaon Augmented Water Supply Scheme worth Rs 104.23 crore. The other development works bequeathed by the Chief Minister ahead of the elections for Birgaon Municipal Corporation include Rs 35 lakhs for beautification of main gate of Advani–Oerlikon Government Higher Secondary School Birgaon Rs 53.36 lakh for various development works to be carried out under infrastructure head including making arrangements of PVC storage tanks for water supply in all wards Rs 1.48 crore for e-rickshaw for using in sanitation work Rs 9.47 crore for carrying out 69 works including construction of CC road and drainage under infrastructure head and Rs 4.75 crore for 42 development works including construction of CC roads and drainage from funds allocated under 14th Finance Commission. The Chief Minister announced opening of a branch of Zila Sahakari Bank on the request of Raipur (Rural) MLA Satyanarayan Sharma. He also announced that the Birgaon college will be named after Late Nand Kumar Patel and opening of Swami Atmanand English Medium School. The Chief Minister distributed lease to 148 beneficiaries including Kanchan Kurre Satrupa Nishad Sunidhi Dewangan Dulari Dewangan Nileshvari Sahu Rajni Sahu Narwadiya Yadav Reena Bai and Kumari Das under Rajiv Gandhi Ashray Yojana and e-rickshaws to 53 beneficiaries including Jyoti Jhariya Ahilya Jamulkar Mamta Dhruv Yogesh and Lokesh. The Chief Minister while addressing the programme said that his government is making efforts towards protecting the interests of village villagers poor farmers and needy people. He said our state has received awards for most clean state two years in a row. The honorarium of Swachata Didi has been hiked from Rs 5000 to Rs 6000. Health examination of over 8000 people has been conducted under Mukhya Mantri Slum Swasthya Yojana and two mobile vans has been made available for free health checkup and for treatment facility. The Chief Minister said that arrangements of gothan are being made in urban areas also and people are earning good money under Godhan Nyay Yojana. Agriculture Minister Ravindra Choubey said that under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel the State Government is doing remarkable work for the development of all sections of the society. He went into detail about the work done by the government during the COVID-19 crisis. Addressing the programme Urban Administration Minister Dr Shivkumar Dahria said that basic facilities are being provided by our government in all the urban bodies of State and special care is being taken to ensure that the people of the area do not face any problem of any kind. Present on the occasion were MLA Satyanarayan Sharma Chhattisgarh Khadi and Gramodyog Board President Rajendra Tiwari for Zila Panchayat Member Pankaj Sharma Collector Dr S Bharathi Dasan SSP Ajay Yadav Commissioner Birgaon Municipal Corporation Srikant Verma and others. On the occasion the Chief Minister also unveiled a statue of Mahatma Gandhi and Chhattisgarh Mahatari.
