Chhattisgarh logs 75 new COVID-19 cases, no death; active tally up to 284

Raipur, Jun 16 (PTI) Chhattisgarh on Thursday recorded 75 new COVID-19 cases, taking its overall tally to 11,52,850, while no fresh death related to the infection was reported in the state, an official said.The death toll remained unchanged at 14,035.The positivity rate, or cases detected per 100 tests, stood at 1.12 per cent.Raipur, Bilaspur, Kabirdham and Durg districts accounted for bulk of the new cases recorded in the last 24 hours, while no new COVID-19 patient was detected in 14 districts of the state, he said.The number of recoveries reached 11,38,531 after 23 people completed their home isolation, leaving the state with an active tally of 284, the official said.With 6,725 swab samples examined during the day, the overall number of tests went up to 1,77,89,023, he added.Chhattisgarh"s coronavirus figures are as follows: Positive cases 11,52,850, new cases 75, death toll 14,035, recoveries 11,38,531, active cases 284, total tests 1,77,89,023.
