Chhattisgarh logs 121 new coronavirus cases, no death; active tally at 765

Raipur, Sep 7 (PTI) Chhattisgarh on Wednesday recorded 121 new cases of COVID-19 at a positivity rate of 1.81 per cent, taking the overall tally to 11,74,476, while no fresh death linked to the infection was registered in the state, a health department official said.The death toll remain unchanged at 14,116.Narayanpur district reported 15 new infections followed by 14 in Dhamtari, 12 each in Raipur and Balod and 11 each in Durg, Rajnandgaon and Surguja, he said.The recovery count rose by 78 to 11,59,595, leaving the state with an active tally of 765, the official said.With 6,690 swab samples examined during the day, the overall number of tests in the state went up to 1,85,02,096, he added.Chhattisgarh"s coronavirus figures are as follows: Positive cases 11,74,476, new cases 121, death toll 14,116, recovered 11,59,595, active cases 765, total tests 1,85,02,096.
