Two youths rape teacher in forest Our Correspondent JASHPUR A teacher was allegedly raped by two youths in forest near Dangri waterfall under Bagicha Police Station limits. After the victim and her family members filed complaint at Pandrapath police out-post Bagicha police launched a search operation to trace the accused identified as Saddam Khan and Sonu. According to the information received from police sources Saddam and Sonu were acquainted with the teacher posted in a private school and even they used to talk to her over phone. They convinced the teacher for an outing to Dangri Waterfall. She agreed and they all went to the spot. Taking advantage of the dense forest both allegedly sexually exploited the teacher and fled the spot. They threatened her of life if incident was disclosed. After the incident the victim along with her family lodged a complaint in Pandara Path outpost and case was registered under Sections 294506323 and 376 of Indian Penal Code. Bagicha SHO Abhishek Singh said that the incident took place at Dangri Waterfall. Both the accused had brought the victim to visit the waterfall. On the complaint of the victim a case has been registered. Police are searching for the accused. Meanwhile Member of Parliament Gomti Sai and Zila Panchayat President Raimuni Bhagat condemned the incident MP said that the Bhupesh government of Chhattisgarh has proved to be a complete failure in protecting the dignity of women. In Jashpur district which is called the island of peace there has been a spate of incidents of violence against women including rape during the last five years. Law and order has completely collapsed but the responsible ministers of the Congress government are sitting silent on this matter. The MP has demanded to arrest the accused as soon as possible. Condemning the incident Zila Panchayat President Raimuni Bhagat said that it is futile to hope for the safety of women in the Congress government. The government whose responsible officers and ministers who remain silent in the inhuman case of rape of disabled girls have lost their moral right to remain in power. Now the people of Chhattisgarh will give a reply to this injustice being done to women and to the Congressmen who have become spectators of this lawlessness. She said that accused Saddam Khan has also been the ex-secretary of Youth Congress and in-charge of social media.
