Chhattisgarh School Education Minister Brijmohan Agrawal has asked State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT) Director Rajendra Katara to conduct Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) in the state soon, an official statement said on Thursday. Following the instructions of the School Education Minister, SCERT has written a letter to the Chhattisgarh Professional Examination Board (CPEB) asking to conduct TET examination in the state as soon as possible. Agrawal made an announcement in the Assembly a couple of days ago regarding the recruitment of 33,000 teachers in the state. In the same sequence, preparations are in full-swing to ensure the implementation of the announcement. Arrangements are in progress to organize the TET exam and ensure participation of the maximum number of youth in the recruitment process. He said that the examination will be conducted with total transparency. The exam has not been conducted in Chhattisgarh for almost 3 years, which has led to disappointment among the youth who dream of getting a teachers job. Scores of candidates had requested Education Minister Brijmohan Agrawal to organize the exam in the state, in response to which Agrawal had made the announcement in the Assembly.
