Three nominations filed on day-1 for phase-3

Three nominations were submitted on Friday, the first day of filing nominations for the third phase of Lok Sabha elections in Chhattisgarh, the Election Commission said. One nomination each has been submitted for the Durg, Korba, and Janjgir-Champa constituencies. Nominations can be filed until April 19. They will be scrutinized on April 20 and withdrawals will be accepted until April 22. In the third phase, Raipur, Durg, Bilaspur, Korba, Raigarh, Surguja, and Janjgir-Champa constituencies will see polling on May 7. The results will be announced on June 4  across the country.
