RAIPUR: Slaves to substance abuse, three youths including two minors were arrested for sodomizing and murder of a man after forcing him to drink with them in Dhamtari district. Police had recovered a semi-nude body in the pool of blood with its head crushed two days ago. Based on CCTV footage, police have arrested the three accused who confessed to murder.The incident took place in Koliyari village in Dhamtari district when a shepherd Nehruram,44, was found dead in fields on Monday with his innerwear thrown few metres away and there were bottles of liquor, cigarettes found from the spot. His head was crushed and body had several injury marks. His family told police that he had gone for a walk to nearby paan kiosk after having dinner and didn't return.Police initiated investigation and based on CCTV footage they caught three persons under suspicion to interrogate. Later, the three accused confessed to crime and narrated the scene of murder.The told police that they were addict to substance abuse and were having liquor and "solution" on the Sunday night when they spotted Nehruram crossing the fields. They intercepted his way and asked him to join them for drinks at a school premises close by. When Nehruram resisted, they forced him gulp down the liquor and coaxed him for unnatural sex. Sensing danger Nehruram requested for his leave but then the three accused thrashed him and took turns upon him twice, police said.It was when Nehruram couldn't take it anymore and started screaming and running for his life, the youths chased him and crushed his head with bricks after nabbing him. Dhamtari SP Rajnesh Singh told media that the arrested accused were identified as 22 year old Kamal while two others are minor and all of them hailed from Koliyari.
