Mobile phone dealer charred to death as car goes up in flames

Palanpur: A 32-year-old man was charred to death when the car he was driving caught fire on NH-8 about 12km from Shyamlaji on Monday afternoon.According to police, some passersby noticed the man stuck in the driving seat of the car that had caught fire. Eyewitnesses said the car was coming from Himmatnagar and going towards Shymlaji. However, before they could do anything, in a matter of minutes, the fire engulfed the entire car. Police said after the car caught fire, it remained on the road for about 1km before going off road and coming to rest in a farm.According to reports, the deceased was identified as Pankaj Parmar, a mobile phone dealer at Aka-Tuka village in Bhiloda taluka of Aravalli district. He was going to meet someone at Shyamlaji.
