Liquor worth Rs 56L seized near Bhanvad

Rajkot: One person was arrested with 11,340 bottles of Indian-made foreign liquor (IMFL) worth Rs 56.7 lakh from near Kapuradi village near Bhanvad town of Devbhoomi Dwarka district on Tuesday.According to special operations group (SOG), Dwarka, the liquor was stashed in a container truck that was coming from Punjab. The liquor was to be delivered to a person in Bhanvad. However, the person, who had come to receive the consignment, escaped when SOG officials raided the farm where the truck was parked.The truck driver, Lavjeet Singh Jat, a resident of Khasa village in Amritsar, was arrested.
