Cops identified the accused as Chiliya Rathwa (30).“Rathwa had picked up a three-year-old girl with the intention of raping her as alleged by the girl’s mother. Rajkot: A labourer, whom members of the public suspected to be a ‘child lifter’ and thrashed on 80-Feet Road in Rajkot on Wednesday evening, turned out to be an actual kidnapper. Rathwa was arrested on the plaint of the girl’s mother. He was caught by the mob which thrashed him black and blue,” said a police official from Thorala. He has been booked for abduction.
