Palanpur: The anti-corruption bureau (ACB) sleuths on Friday arrested two deputy executive engineers from the Khedbrahma irrigation department allegedly accepting bribe of Rs 1.12lakh for release payment for construction work.The accused were identified as Ghanshyam Ramchandani and Bhargav Pandya, of Khedbrahma irrigation department that comes under Sabarkantha district panchayat.The duo had demanded from the complainant, a engineer with a cooperative society, 16% of the total payment of Rs 7,00,721 to be release for construction work done in Kalchhap village of Khedbrahma taluka.According to ACB statement, the accused had earlier received Rs 25,000 as advance.
