RAJKOT: INS Valsura in Jamnagar organised a naval technical attachment camp (NTAC) for two NCC contingents comprising of 50 male and 25 female cadets from various engineering colleges of Tamil Nadu from June 27 to July 8.The aim of the camp was to acquaint the future sea warriors to the ethos, training and traditions of the Indian Navy and appraise them with latest trends in naval technology in electrical and marine engineering. The camp provided an opportunity for the young cadets to see the ‘Men in White’ at close quarters. A structured routine containing a myriad of training activities such as small arms firing, watermanship training, parade, sports, swimming and visits to all technical schools at INS Valsura kept the sea cadets engaged throughout the duration of the camp.During one of the many interactions with the ship’s company, Nivedha, a senior wing cadet from Ramanathapuram district in Tamil Nadu, said, “The camp has changed my life and I will certainly pursue armed forces as a career.”
