Retd DySP among seven killed in separate road accidents

Rajkot: Seven people including a retired deputy superintendent (DySP) of police were killed in three different accidents reported from Jamnagar, Devbhoomi Dwarka and Bhavnagar on Thursday. It was while attempting to save the women, he lost control of his car which skidded off the road and crashed into a tree. Police are yet to ascertain the identities of the victims.In Bhavnagar, two siblings were killed when their SUV overturned and fell into a stream after it lost control while negotiating a turn. In Jamnagar, retired DySP Jaidevsinh Jadeja (65), a resident of Kalawad Road in Rajkot, was killed when the car he was driving lost control and banged against a tree after skidding off the road.“The accident occurred while Jadeja was negotiating a curve on the road and suddenly saw a group of four women crossing the road.

He is survived by one son.In Devbhoomi Dwarka, four people were killed when the SUV they were travelling in overturned while attempting to save a dog that had strayed on Bhatia-Dwarka Road in Katadia village of Kalyanpur taluka. Police are yet to ascertain the identities of the victims.In Bhavnagar, two siblings were killed when their SUV overturned and fell into a stream after it lost control while negotiating a turn. Police identified the deceased as Harpalsinh Chudasama (34) and his sister Asha Chudasama (33), both residents of Manavadar in Junagadh district. One Indrajeet Chudasama, who was in the SUV, has been seriously injured in the accident.
