Rajkot: Eight persons were booked for rioting and pelting stones on a Gujarat State Road Transport Corporation (GSRTC) bus during the ‘Bharat Bandh’ protests near Gondal on Monday late night. All the eight accused belong to Derdi Kumbhariya village and were charged with rioting and causing damage to public property. The accused hurled stones at Rajkot-Bagasara state transport bus between Derdi Kumbhariya and Kukavav village in Gondal taluka of Rajkot.The incident took place around 10.30pm on Monday when the bus carrying passengers was stopped by the protesters, who asked the passengers to disembark and then ransacked the bus. However, police said nobody was injured.tnn
