Rajkot: A 45-year-old man was arrested on Thursday night for allegedly repeatedly raping a 25-year-old schoolteacher in Morbi.Police said the accused, identified as Vijay Saradawa, also a teacher who is the former president of Morbi District Teachers’ Association, had allegedly raped the woman by making false promise of marriage.The survivor said that she had been into relationship with Saradawa from January 26, 2017, to February 28, 2018, during which time Saradawa had allegedly shot her nude videos and photographs in compromising position.“When she broke up with Saradawa after he failed to fulfil his promise of marrying her, Saradawa allegedly circulated her videos and photographs among her family members and the members of her fiancé’s family,” an official from Morbi A division police station said.The survivor lives in Mawdi Plot locality of Rajkot and works as a teacher at a school in Wankaner.
