Leopard enters court premises in Gujarat's Chotila, rescued

RAJKOT: A leopard sneaked into the premises of a court at Chotila taluka in Surendrangar district on Friday. There was chaos on the premises when litigants and court employees spotted the animal. The court was forced to halt its work.A court employee was rescued by breaking the grill of a window while another staff locked himself inside a room of the court to save himself.The animal was rescued hours after a team was rushed from Junagarh to the spot. The population of leopard in Saurashtra is increasing because of conservation effort and they come out of forest areas in search of food. There are nearly 1,400 leopards in Gujarat , according to an estimate of the forest department.
