Six arrested for tempo driver’s murder over extramarital affair

When Rojasara came to know about it, he hatched a conspiracy to murder Dabhi with Barakhiya and Pappu. While Rojasara was arrested from Rajpipala village, the other accused were nabbed from their hideout in Badpar village.According to police, an extramarital affair between Dabhi and the wife of Rojasara was the reason behind the crime. The accused then threw chilli powder into Dabhi’s eyes and then strangled him to death using a rope. On the day of the crime, Pappu, Vikas, Mano and the minor boy hired Dabhi’s tempo, telling him that they needed transportation for labour work.“When the tempo reached the outskirts of Kanpar village, they called up Rojasara and Barakhiya who arrived on their bike. After killing him, they dumped Dabhi’s body on the tempo seat,” said M N Rana, inspector of Rajkot rural special operation group.After the police found the footage of the accused with Dabhi at the petrol pump, they rounded up Pappu, Vikas, Mano and the minor boy who confessed to their crime and revealed the names of the co-accused, leading to their arrests.

Rajkot: Six persons were arrested on Sunday night for allegedly strangulating a driver in Kanpar village of Jasdan taluka in Rajkot district.Police said an extramarital affair between the wife of one of the accused and the victim was the reason behind the crime.The body of Shailesh Dabhi (40), a resident of Juna Rajpipala village of Kotada Sangani taluka in Rajkot district was found on Friday evening.Police arrested the accused on the basis of the CCTV footage found from a petrol pump in which the accused were seen seated in Dabhi’s tempo.The accused were identified as Keshu Rojasara (53), a resident of Rajpipala village of Kotada Sangani taluka, Jivan Barakhiya (45), a resident of Badpar village of Rajkot taluka, Pappu Vasunia (34), Vikas Vasunia (21), Mano Vasunia (21) and a 16-year-old boy, all natives of Jhabua in Madhya Pradesh.
