Rajkot: An autorickshaw driver was arrested for allegedly attempting to sodomize a 13-year-old boy in a moving train in Rajkot on Monday. Police arrested Vallabh Solanki (55) on Tuesday after the boy’s mother lodged complaint with the Gandhigram police station.According to the case details, the boy is student of a school on Raiya road. He has been living with his grandparents after his father passed away.On Monday, the boy did not go to school. So, his grandfather scolded him. The teenager left the house in anger. He was spotted by Solanki near Amrapali crossing. He offered the boy a biscuit and took him for a ride.Solanki took the boy to Bhaktinagar railway station and boarded a local train going towards Junagadh.According to police, near Jetalsar station, Solanki took the boy in the train’s toilet and tried to sodomize him. The boy started screaming for help. The passengers in the train rushed towards the toilet and nabbed Solanki. They thrashed him before handing him over to railway police.The railway police informed the boy’s mother who lodged a police complain against Solanki with the Gandhidham police station on Monday night.
