Financial crisis drives businessman to commit suicide

RAJKOT: A 57-year-old Bhavnagar-based businessman ended life on Tuesday after suffering severe financial crisis on account of demonetization last year.The deceased, identified as Ashok Mahasukh Shah , owned a grocery store in Nanbha Sheri of Bhavnagar. He later went to Bahuchar Ma temple near his factory and hanged himself under its stairs.Shah left a suicide note which stated that because of 'notebandi' last year he had plunged into severe financial crisis. Shah left his house on Tuesday morning for his factory where he processes grains. Also, four months ago, he overshot his budget during a marriage function in the family and incurred huge debt. Due to poor business he could not repay the debt.
