Trinamool Congress terror forcing our workers to seek refuge in Jharkhand: BJP

BJP workers from Purulia and Bankura districts have fled to Ranchi to save their lives.Ranchi MP Ramtahal Choudhary on Sunday visited 16 of them who took refuge in Bundu, 35 kilometers from the state capital. Though the state government has initiated an enquiry, the BJP has termed them political murders and demanded CBI probe.Pratul Shahdeo, the BJP spokesperson, called the violence in different parts of West Bengal as ‘state sponsored’. “BJP karyakartas have welcomed their brothers from West Bengal with open arms and giving them food and shelter,” he added.Gilua said a concerned BJP leadership has conveyed the scenario to party’s national president Amit Shah. He apprehended that the number of refugees may rise in coming days.The saffron party said their workers and elected Panchayat Pradhan are seeking refuge in the northern districts of Dumka, Pakur, Sahibganj from Birbhum, Burdwan and Murshidabad districts in West Bengal.

RANCHI: Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) elected representatives in the recently held Panchayat election in West Bengal are taking refuge in Jharkhand to escape violent supporters of the Trinamool Congress , the party’s Jharkhand unit said on Monday.BJP state president Lakshman Gilua said hundreds of BJP workers are fleeing West Bengal with their families to avoid being killed at the hands of TMC cadres who unleashed a reign of terror after the Panchayat poll results were declared last month.Gilua accused the Mamata Banerjee government in West Bengal of running a ‘Goonda Raj’ and making a mockery of the country’s democracy by chasing away the elected members of rural bodies. He apprehended that the number of refugees may rise in coming days.The saffron party said their workers and elected Panchayat Pradhan are seeking refuge in the northern districts of Dumka, Pakur, Sahibganj from Birbhum, Burdwan and Murshidabad districts in West Bengal. Though the state government has initiated an enquiry, the BJP has termed them political murders and demanded CBI probe.Pratul Shahdeo, the BJP spokesperson, called the violence in different parts of West Bengal as ‘state sponsored’. “It is akin to Adolf Hitler’s ethnic cleansing of the Jews during World War II,” Shahdeo said. “BJP karyakartas have welcomed their brothers from West Bengal with open arms and giving them food and shelter,” he added.Gilua said a concerned BJP leadership has conveyed the scenario to party’s national president Amit Shah. “We are looking for ways to end this problem. The matter has also been conveyed to Union home minister Rajnath Singh,” Gilua added.
