Jailed para teachers get bail, child centre duty

"So far, 282 para teachers who were arrested in connection with the stone pelting incident at Morhabadi on November 15 have been granted bail. Seven out of the 13 para teachers also got bail in a case registered against them with Lower Bazaar police station." RANCHI: The court of principal judicial commissioner (Ranchi) on Tuesday granted bail to 13 para teachers who were arrested in connection to their role in the alleged violence at Morhabadi ground during Statehood Day celebrations on November 15.However, the court of Navneet Kumar granted the bail on condition that the para teachers will serve in a child welfare institution for 15 days under the guidance of a district welfare officer. The court also directed each para teacher to furnish a bail bond of Rs 10,001.Among the released para teachers are Pradyuman Kumar Singh, Vikas Kumar Yadav, Sanjay Kumar Dubey, Pramod Kumar Mahto and Rishikesh Pathak among others.Advocate Pradeep Chandra, who appeared on behalf of the para teachers, said that during the hearing he argued that the state government has instituted a false case against the teachers and no specific allegations were levelled against them in the FIR registered with the Lalpur police station.
