I also extend my best wishes to all the devotees of Lord Shiva on the occasion of Mahashivaratri.”Jitendra Kumar, a pilgrim from Khunti, said, “The journey to Kailash Mansarovar is arduous, but faith in Shiva keeps one going.”Kunti Devi, another pilgrim, said, “We got proper accommodation and were happy to learn that our state government had arranged for all the facilities in Nepal with the help of the Union external affairs ministry and Nepal government.”Mahendra Kumar Agarwal, a pilgrim from Dhanbad who also received a cheque of Rs 1 lakh, donated the amount for the welfare of the eldery and specially-abled persons.Speaking on the occasion, Amar Kumar Bauri, minister of revenue and land reforms, art, culture, sports and youth affairs, said: “Our government is committed to help those who cannot afford to visit various shrines . Keeping that in mind, the chief minister announced a grant of Rs 1 lakh to those who undertake the Kailsah Mansarovar Yatra.”Around 5,000 persons from the state have availed the Mukhyamantri Tirtha Darshan Yojana and have visited various shrines across the country, which include the Char Dham and Ajmer Sharif Dargah, among others. “We have also run a special train under the scheme for Kumbh devotees which was flagged off on January 29 from Ranchi railway station.
