JAC announces re-test of physics paper in 3 districts

Ranchi: The Jharkhand Academic Council (JAC) on Tuesday said it will to reconduct the intermediate Physics papers in Giridih Koderma and Hazaribag on March 26. The intermediate Physics exam was held on March 2.“Our probe has confirmed that the paper indeed was leaked from Bagodar on social media. Incidents of paper leaks recently came to light in these districts through social media. “This time, videography of unsealing of question papers will be done in all the three districts. “Despite speculations over delay of results due to elections, we are expecting to consolidate and publish all results by May.

Ranchi: The Jharkhand Academic Council (JAC) on Tuesday said it will to reconduct the intermediate Physics papers in Giridih Koderma and Hazaribag on March 26. Incidents of paper leaks recently came to light in these districts through social media. The intermediate Physics exam was held on March 2.“Our probe has confirmed that the paper indeed was leaked from Bagodar on social media. An FIR has been filed against the culprits and we have also issued notices to to the centre superintendents where the leak took place. Since the effect of the leak was only in three districts, the examination will be reconducted there in the first sitting on March 26,” said JAC secretary Mahip Kumar Singh.The JAC board will also take additional measures to ensure that the incident isn’t repeated. “This time, videography of unsealing of question papers will be done in all the three districts. The teachers and school officials present in the room will also be documented on camera so that such an incident is not repeated,” he added.JAC chairman Arvind Kumar Singh also informed that the board is expecting to declare the results of both intermediate and matriculation boards by May. “Despite speculations over delay of results due to elections, we are expecting to consolidate and publish all results by May. In fact, we have started the copy correction of tribal language papers in the first week of March. The correction of copies for other subjects will begin soon,” Singh said.A total of 4.41 lakh students wrote their matriculation papers conducted by JAC this year while an additional 3.15 lakh students appeared for their intermediate examinations.
