Deputy Commissioner Dr. Waghmare Prasad Krishna said that studying books is the best way for better knowledge and proper development of the brain. Today, many types of content are available to us through social media but they are not reliable and tested on the right criteria. Books provide an opportunity to better understand history, economics and things around us. The book develops your personality in the right way. Knowledge of social media is limited. The Deputy Commissioner said these things while inaugurating the district level book fair-cum-science exhibition at the Collectorate grounds on Friday. Earlier, the fair was inaugurated by the Deputy Commissioner by cutting the ribbon and lighting the lamp. On the occasion, the Deputy Commissioner said that today through the book fair, all of you have got the opportunity to select better books for schools. Copies of books have been made available in the fair by various publishers. All of you should select the best books from these so that those books can be sent to your school library. The students studying after you will also benefit from this. The Deputy Commissioner inspected the stalls of the book fair-cum-science exhibition. On the basis of the given marks, in the science exhibition, Nishant Oraon and team of Bagru Jamnutoli High School were awarded the first prize with a trophy for making methane gas from the biogas system. A total of 14 teams of classes 8-10 from all the blocks participated in the science exhibition. Similarly, a total of 11 publishers set up stalls in the book fair. A large number of students and participants including Additional Collector, District Education Officer Neelam Aileen Toppo, District Disaster Management Officer, Additional District Program Officer Ambujya Pandey, Ashok Pandey, Sapna Singh, Jitendra Mittal were present in the program.
