4 killed due to lightening in State

  Four persons died due to lightning in Jharkhand. These days, light to moderate rain is occurring in different districts of Jharkhand. While on one hand the rain is providing relief from the heat, on the other hand, three people died due to lightning at different places in Hazaribagh, while one person died in Tandwa of Chatra.   The deceased include Lalita Devi, resident of Barkagaon, farmer Khewani Rana, Kaila Ram, resident of Keredari and Bajrangi Mahato, resident of Tandwa. Anil Ram, a resident of Pachada in Keredari, got burnt.   Abhishek Anand, scientist of Meteorological Department, Ranchi, said that there are chances of rain in Jharkhand till May 15. Yellow alert has been issued for strong wind and rain with thunder in many districts including Ranchi on Sunday. According to the Meteorological Department, a turf line from Uttar Pradesh is passing through the Terai areas of Bihar and Bengal. Due to this, the moist air coming in Jharkhand is causing rain.   Anand said that the change in weather will continue till May 15. Yellow alert has been issued for rain with strong wind and isolated thunderstorms in Garhwa, Palamu and Chatra during the next 24 hours.  A few days ago, due to bad weather, 7 people died in one day in Jharkhand. According to the Meteorological Department, the weather may change after May 15. The rainy season may be over.
