The Summer Sports Training Camp 2024, organized under the aegis of the Sports and Civic Amenities Department of Bokaro Steel Plant (BSL), commenced  at the MKM Stadium. The camp was inaugurated by Chief General Manager (Town Services)  Kundan Kumar. The event was graced by the presence of General Manager (Public Relations and Administration)  C.R.K. Sudhanshu, General Manager (Town Services)  A.K. Avinash, Deputy General Manager (Finance and Accounts - JGOM) Anupam Shee, Assistant General Manager (Sports and Civic Amenities)  S. Rajak, along with other senior officials, various sports trainers, media personnel, children, and their parents.   Following the inauguration, Mr. Rajak provided detailed information about the camp, which will run until 3rd June, to the children and their parents. A total of approximately 309 children have registered to receive training in the camp.   The children will receive training in 12 different sports from specialized coaches. These sports include athletics, badminton, basketball, cricket, football, handball, hockey, kabaddi, kho-kho, volleyball, chess, and archery. Training sessions will be conducted at various locations equipped with the necessary facilities. The summer sports training camp aims to foster sportsmanship and enhance the skills of young athletes, and it will continue until 3rd June.
