Central jail inmate dies in MMCH Daltonganj : Jail Supdt

Sanjay Sharma, 44, an inmate of the central jail Daltonganj died in the MMCH Daltonganj during treatment on the intervening night of Thursday / Friday, said the central jail superintendent Bhagirath Karjee today.    Sharma was in the central jail since December 12, 2017. He was booked under sections 304 B and 34 of the IPC.    Karjee said the deceased was a mental patient. He was under medical care here in the central jail.    He was rushed from the jail hospital to the MMCH Daltonganj last night, claimed Karjee. He was unconscious when shifted to the MMCH, Daltonganj added Karjee.    Incharge medical superintendent of the MMCH Daltonganj Dr R K Ranjan said a board of 3 doctors of the MMCH Daltonganj namely Rohit Pandey, Satranjan Giri and Umesh Kumar Singh conducted the post mortem in presence of the magistrate and the proceedings of the autopsy were videographed.    Dr Ranjan said the inmate was brought to the MMCH Daltonganj last night in a highly critical condition.
