Daltonganj railway station under the Dhanbad division of the east central railway has now two lifts.    One each lift is on platform number 1 and platform number 2/3.   Daltonganj railway station superintendent Umesh Kumar said the two lifts have been opened today for the comfort and convenience of the passengers.    Umesh Kumar has appealed to the passengers to keep the lift neat and clean and not to litter the inside of the lift with any leftovers.    The lift is for 6 passengers with their luggage.    This is seen as a major amenity to the travelling people as sick and ailing passengers travel almost every day from here to Banaras, Kolkata, Delhi etc and these two lifts will be a big relief to such sick and ailing passengers who cant negotiate foot overbridge.
