Under the directive of Deputy Commissioner Vijaya Jadhav, the Chas Municipal Corporation  has commenced an extensive drain cleaning drive across various wards to mitigate waterlogging issues ahead of the monsoon season.    Municipal Commissioner of Chas,  Saurav Kumar Bhuvania, has issued a schedule ensuring the cleaning of all minor and major drains by June 15, 2024. This initiative is being executed at a rapid pace to ensure that residents do not face any inconvenience due to water accumulation during the monsoon.   To ensure thorough cleaning, workers and supervisors have been assigned specific drains and are closely monitoring the progress.    Notably, Deputy Commissioner Vijaya Jadhav had issued a notice to the Chas Municipal Corporation, Phusro Municipal Council, and all Block Development Officers (BDOs) and Circle Officers (COs), instructing them to clean drains to prevent waterlogging before the monsoon. Following these instructions, the Chas Municipal Corporation has launched the campaign to clean all minor and major drains in the region.
