ACB arrests BPO accepting Rs 5000 bribe

The Palamu ACB team has arrested  BPO of Chiniya block of Garhwa district while taking a bribe of Rs 5,000. The BPO has been identified as Anuj Kumar Ravi. According to the information, the BPO was demanding a bribe for signing the measurement book for the construction of a pond under the MGNREGA scheme.   The victim complained to the ACB about the matter. After this, the ACB arrested the accused BPO on Wednesday. The victim had to get a pond constructed at a cost of Rs 4.96 lakh under the MGNREGA scheme. Anuj Kumar Ravi had demanded a 5 per cent bribe for signing on the measurement book. If not given, he was not signing the measurement book. After this, the ACB took action and arrested the accused with the bribe money.
