Monsoon delayed this year

People will have to bear the heat for some more time. This is because the uncertainty of monsoons entry in Jharkhand has started increasing. The weather department had forecasted that the  monsoon was going to knock in Jharkhand on June 13 but there is a possibility of delay in the entry of monsoon in Jharkhand. Monsoon will enter Jharkhand between June 23 and June 25. It is worth noting that during the last decade, monsoon arrived on time in Jharkhand only three times, while it arrived late on eight occasions. Scientist of Jharkhand Meteorological Center, Abhishek Anand  informed that there is no fixed date for the arrival of monsoon. It is an average period based on the study of the date of entry and departure of monsoon, during which monsoon arrives and departs. This period is fixed due to the dates of entry or departure of monsoon, he added. The temperature here has been continuously 40 degrees or more for the last 7 days in the State Capital. The maximum temperature of Ranchi was recorded at 40.3 degrees on June 9, 40.0 degrees on June 10, 40.7 degrees on June 11, 40.2 degrees on June 12, 41 degrees on June 13, 40 degrees on June 14 and 41 degrees Celsius on June 15. Anand said that the current situation shows that there may be less rain in June and more in July. "Jharkhand received only 20.2 mm of rain from June 1 to June 13 against the normal rainfall of 43.4 mm, which is 54 per cent less; rainfall count for the four-month rainy season begins from June 1," he said.
