Manipal Tata Medical College (MTMC) achieved a significant milestone today with the inauguration of its new MTMC Academic Block located at the Tata Main Hospital (TMH) OPD Block on the second floor. This state-of-the-art facility aims to provide MTMC students with practical training opportunities in a simulated clinical environment, enhancing their skills and preparing them for careers in the medical field. The inauguration ceremony was honored by the presence of Senior Superintendent of Police, East Singhbhum, Kishor Kaushal, IPS, who served as the Chief Guest, and Civil Surgeon, East Singhbhum, Dr. Jujhar Majhi, as the Guest of Honour. Also in attendance were officials from MTMC, including the Dean and representatives from TMH. Speaking at the event, Kishor Kaushal highlighted MTMCs role in fostering excellence in education, research, and patient care, emphasizing its potential to make a significant impact on healthcare standards in Jamshedpur and beyond. Dr. Jujhar Majhi underscored the importance of the MTMC Academic Block in providing a conducive learning environment for students to develop essential clinical skills under expert guidance. The Dean of MTMC expressed his pride in the new facility, stating it represents a commitment to providing world-class medical education and training to students. In a parallel initiative, Tata Steels Nest-In initiative successfully completed the construction of a modern rooftop OPD spanning 31,605 sq.ft over an existing G+1 building using advanced LGSF (Light Gauge Steel Framing) technology. This achievement, completed in just nine months despite monsoon challenges, underscores Tata Steels commitment to sustainable construction practices while enhancing healthcare infrastructure. Plans are also underway to construct a 1,35,000 sq.ft indoor facility, further demonstrating Tata Steels dedication to expanding healthcare and educational infrastructure in the region. MTMC, a constituent unit of Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE), is recognized for its commitment to excellence in medical education and healthcare services. Located in Jamshedpur, MTMC offers MBBS and Allied Health Sciences programs with a focus on providing comprehensive training and academic support to future healthcare professionals.
