CJ inaugurates Gram Nayalaya at Jarmundi, Mandar

Jharkhand High Court Chief Justice Dr. Bidyut Ranjan Sarangi on Monday inaugurated Gram Nayalaya at Jarmundi under Dumka district through videoconferencing. The Gram Nyayalaya at Jarmundi will be the fourth Gram Court to be inaugurated in State in past few days.   High Court judges and senior HC officials were present on the occasion. Earlier, the first Gram Court of the district has been opened in Mandar, Ranchi. The court was inaugurated in Mandar by Jharkhand High Court (HC) Chief Justice Dr Vidyut Ranjan Sarangi. On the occasion, the Chief Justice said that the Gram Court has been established to increase the reach of the justice system to the common citizens and to connect every citizen with the judicial system of the Country. He said that under this system, speedy justice can be provided to the citizens at the Gram Panchayat level. He said that the purpose of the Gram Court is to provide justice to the people living in rural areas at the local level under the constitutional process. On the day of inauguration, he expressed happiness over the settlement of the dispute between two couples through mediation in the Gram Court. He also honored them. After the inauguration of the Gram Court, the Chief Justice also visited the court room, mediation room, record room and Nazarat of the Gram Court. On the occasion, Jharkhand High Court Judge Sujit Narayan Prasad said that the Gram Court has been established to provide easy justice to the public. Lawyers should also cooperate with the general public in fulfilling the purpose for which this court has been inaugurated. In the ceremony, Judical Commissioner Diwakar Pandey said that this Gram Court will prove to be a milestone for the execution of small cases of the villagers of 19 panchayats of Mandar. The program was conducted by Judicial Magistrate Ekta Saxena and the vote of thanks was given by Ranchi DC Rahul Kumar Sinha. On the occasion, POCSO Judge Asif Iqbal, District Sessions Judge Manish Ranjan, Family Court Judge Rajesh Kumar, District Sessions Judge NC Jha, Judicial Magistrate Rajkumar Pandey, Akshat Srivastava, DN Shukla, Abhishek Kumar, Family Court Judge Sanjita Srivastava, Jhalasa Secretary Ranjana Asthana, District Sessions Judge Sachindra Biruwa and Sanjeev Jha, Chandan, Paridhi Sharma, Ranchi District Bar Association Secretary Sanjay Vidrohi, Mandar MLA Shilpi Neha Tirkey, Ranchi SSP Chandan Kumar Sinha and others were present.
