BJP lawmakers hold night dharna inside House

The Jharkhand assembly witnessed an unprecedented scene when the BJP MLAs, seeking answers from Chief Minister Hemant Soren on various issues, entered the well of the House in the morning when assembly proceedings commenced and remained there even as Speaker Rabindra Nath Mahto adjourned the House. The BJP MLAs stat of dharna despite Chief Minister Hemant reaching out to agitating MLAs assuring them to take up their demands. The MLAs did not listen to the CM and where in dharna even in the evening. Talking to the media after coming out of the assembly, CM Hemant Soren said that he will talk about the issue on Thursday. The BJP MLAs have taken a decision that until the Chief Minister does not give a clear answer in the house on the issue of youth and contract workers and all the promises made in his manifesto, the BJP MLAs will not step out of the house. Earlier, when the BJP MLAs, refused to come out of the House, the Assembly secretariate snapped the power and water supply and locked them in the House, claimed BJP MLAs. As the political temperature escalated several BJP leaders, including Jharkhand Incharge Lakshmikant Vajpayee swung into action and went to the press describing the Assembly secretariats action as a murder of democracy. Leader of Opposition Amar Bauri termed it as a dark chapter of democracy. The NDA MLAs are sitting on dharna on questions of the public, including regularisation of contract workers, para teachers, against not fulfilling the promise of 5 lakh jobs, he maintained. He said women MLAs are also troubled and added that the government and the assembly speaker are not concerned. Due to a strong uproar on the fourth day of the Jharkhand Assembly Monsoon Session, Speaker Rabindra Nath Mahto adjourned the proceedings of the House till 11 am on Thursday.  When the proceedings of the House started after the lunch break, Leader of Opposition Amar Kumar Bauri raised the issue of the announcement made by Hemant Soren. Bauri said that the Chief Minister will have to answer all the issues of Jharkhand inside the House today, including Para Teachers, Assistant Policemen, MNREGA workers, Anganwadi Sevika Sahayika, Cook, Poshan Sakhi, Jal Sahia, ANM/ GNM, Home Guard, Panchayat Sevak, Computer Operator, Data Operator, Vocational Trained Teacher, Non-Gazetted Employees, Land Protector JE, Divyaangjan, JSLPS, Municipality Safai Karamchari, BRP-CRP, regularisation of all contract workers, unemployment allowance, local policy, JSSC scam, JPSC scam. He said that if the Chief Minister leaves after speaking on the last day of the session, then due to the last session, the public will not be able to get answers on all these issues.
