CEO launched Salute to BLO and Election Quiz campaigns

Chief Electoral Officer K Ravi Kumar addressed media persons at Nirvachan Sadan on Monday. On this occasion, he launched "Salute to BLO", "Election Quiz" and released the statistical report and gave detailed information to the media representatives. He also released the posters of Salute to BLO and Election Quiz on this occasion. During the programme, a statistical report booklet containing detailed data related to the Lok Sabha elections was also released. The Chief Electoral Officer said that to motivate the youth towards elections, the Chief Electoral Office is organizing a state-level election quiz. In which any voter of Jharkhand can participate by registering from 16 August to 26 September. The said competition is for the general voters of the state, so the workers associated with the election work will not be able to participate in this competition. This competition will be held online on 29 September, after which an offline quiz competition for the winning participants of all the districts will be held in the capital Ranchi on 5 October. The first prize for the winners is Rs 50 thousand, second prize is Rs 30 thousand and third prize is Rs 20 thousand. The winner of each district will be given Rs 10 thousand. The Chief Electoral Officer said that there is a plan to honour the BLOs who have done excellent work in the elections. For this, a "Salute to BLO" campaign is being started. He said that there are about 29,562 BLOs in the state and they play an important role in the election system of the state. The main objective behind honoring the BLOs is to motivate them. He said that three BLOs will be honored from every assembly constituency, as well as a proposal to honor the BLOs who perform excellently on National Voters Day.
