ACS Health takes stock of hospitals through video conference

Additional Chief Secretary, Health, Medical Education and Family Welfare Department, Ajay Kumar Singh reviewed the work of all the Civil Surgeons and Deputy Superintendents of the state along with all the withdrawal and expenditure officers under the Health Department. In this review meeting, the Additional Chief Secretary instructed everyone that all the 108 ambulances which are closed due to minor faults should be provided funds as per the proposal prepared within 15 days. He said that ambulances should be 100 per cent operational. Along with this, he instructed to assess all types of necessary equipment and machines in all the hospitals and send its list to the department so that the machines can be purchased. During the video conference, he instructed to provide the list of hospitals which do not have X-ray machines. Also, instructed to provide a proposal for modular OT within a week. CT scan and MRI machines were also discussed during the VC. The Additional Chief Secretary said that where there is no space, space should be made available as per IPH standards. Along with the allocation of the amount allotted in the year 2025-26, the schemes of NHM were reviewed and necessary guidelines were given. The Additional Chief Secretary directed the Civil Surgeons and Deputy Superintendents of all the districts to paint and equip the health centers from Sadar Hospital to PHC. While giving instructions, he said that all the works should be completed within 1 month and photographs of all should be uploaded. The action taken will be reviewed again after a month. The desired amount of the current financial year has been made available, on which the Additional Chief Secretary discussed in detail.
