State-of-the-Art ambulances to boost rural health services in E Singhbhum

In a major boost to the healthcare infrastructure of East Singhbhum district, Uranium Corporation of India Limited (UCIL) has provided five state-of-the-art ambulances under its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative. The ambulances were officially flagged off from the Sadar Hospital campus in Jamshedpur on Tuesday. The flagging-off ceremony witnessed the presence of several dignitaries including Jharkhand Government Minister Ramdas Soren, Potka MLA Sanjib Sardar, Jamshedpur West MLA Saryu Roy, Jamshedpur East MLA Purnima Sahu, District Council President Bari Murmu, Vice President Pankaj Sinha, Deputy Commissioner Ananya Mittal, and Civil Surgeon Dr. Sahir Pal. Addressing the gathering, Minister Ramdas Soren emphasized the significance of this initiative, stating, These ambulances will be instrumental in enhancing healthcare delivery in remote and underserved areas. UCILs contribution is commendable and aligns with the governments goal to strengthen rural health services. Among the beneficiaries, Dumaria Community Health Center (CHC) has received a Tata Winger Medical Mobile Unit (MMU) ambulance. Equipped with emergency and first-aid facilities, the MMU aims to bridge the gap in rural healthcare accessibility and provide timely patient transport in the Potka region. Potka MLA Sanjeev Sardar welcomed the move, stating, For an area like Dumaria, this is a significant development. Ive consistently advocated for better health services in Potka, and this ambulance will undoubtedly help in saving lives. Apart from Dumaria, the following health centers also received ambulances under the CSR initiative: Sadar Hospital/Jugsalai: 1 Advanced Life Support (ALS) ambulance, CHC Musabani: 1 ALS and 1 MMU ambulance and Sadar Hospital/IDSP Office: 1 MMU ambulance All ambulances have been insured and temporarily registered to ensure immediate deployment without administrative delays. Deputy Commissioner Ananya Mittal and Civil Surgeon Dr. Sahir Pal expressed their gratitude to UCIL for this life-saving contribution. The ambulances are expected to play a crucial role in emergency medical response across the district, especially in hard-to-reach areas.  This CSR effort by UCIL marks a significant collaboration between industry and local governance to uplift public health services in Jharkhands rural belt.
