Welfare Minister conducts surprise inspection of Aakanksha program

Welfare Minister Chamra Linda said that the Welfare Department will prepare meritorious tribal students passing 10th and 12th for engineering and medical. The Minister said this on Wednesday after conducting a surprise inspection of the Aakanksha program being run in the district school premises of Ranchi. Linda said that if tribal students get better education, they can easily succeed in engineering, medical and other competitive examinations. The department will make extensive preparations for this. He said that only when the students of tribal society get quality education, they will progress in every field. There is a lot of talent in the children of tribal society, there is a need for all of us to work together to hone their talent. There are immense possibilities in the students of our ST / SC society. Our children have also performed well in many areas. The Minister said that from the current year, under the Aakanksha program, such tribal students who are meritorious will be selected and prepared for competitive examinations of engineering and medical by providing them special free coaching. Linda said that the results of ICSE and CBSE boards have come. The result of the states JAC board is also about to come, after which application forms will be received from the children. Meritorious students will be selected from the applications received. He said that preparations are being made by the department to start coaching from the first week of July 2025. On the occasion of the visit to Aakanksha campus, Secretary of Welfare Department Kripananda Jha, Tribal Welfare Commissioner Ajay Nath Jha, Welfare Project Director of Ranchi District Sanjay Kumar Bhagat and In-charge Coordinator of Aakanksha program VK Singh were present among others.
