2 militants including TPC commander arrested

Ranchi Police arrested two militants including TPC commander Diwakar Ganjhu. On the basis of secret information received by SSP Chandan Sinha, the police team took action and arrested Diwakar Ganjhu and Akshay Ganjhu from Chaingarha, Gamharia forest of Budhmu police station area. Police recovered many items including two pistols from him. SSP gave this information in a press conference on Friday. He said that a total of 18 cases are registered against militant Diwakar. Diwakar joined the TPC organization about 15 years ago at the behest of militant Jagu Ganjhu. After Jagu Ganjhu was killed in a police encounter in 2018 and area commander Dinesh Ram went to jail, Diwakar was made the area commander of TPC. In the development work being done in Ganjhu Budhmu, Urimari, Bhurkunda, Patratu, Barkagaon, Keredari area, they used to take extortion money from crusher owners, brick kiln owners and land dealers and used to spread terror by taking military action against those who did not pay the extortion money, by arson, vandalism and firing. Meanwhile, on Friday morning around 5 am, a 14-year-old minor hit two people with his car. One person died in this accident, while a female teacher was injured. This incident happened near the Distillery Bridge in Lalpur police station area. The name of the deceased is Pradeep Minj, age 45 years, who had left home on foot in the morning for some work. At the same time, the injured woman is a teacher of DAV Nandraj School, whose name is Preeti. She too had left on foot to go to school. The police said that the minor boy was learning to drive a car and he had left home alone with the car. During interrogation, he said that he lost control over the car, due to which this accident happened. It is being said that the car was moving at a very high speed and he accidentally pressed the accelerator instead of the brake, due to which the car got unbalanced and hit both the pedestrians. After the accident, with the help of the minor and the local people, both the injured were taken to Sadar Hospital. Pradeep Minj died during treatment at around 8 am. He was a resident of Kurudeg village in Simdega district of Jharkhand. As soon as the information about the incident was received, the police reached the spot and started an investigation. The police have taken the minor into custody and further action is being taken in the case.
