  • | Monday | 19th May, 2025

Politics has heated up in the State over the issue of Congress MLA from Bokaro Shweta Singh having three PAN cards and two voter ID cards in her name. On Saturday, a delegation of BJP leaders went to Raj Bhavan and submitted a memorandum to the Governor. BJP MP Aditya Sahu, State Vice President Rakesh Prasad, MLA CP Singh and former BJP MLA from Bokaro Biranchi Narayan submitted a memorandum to Governor Santosh Gangwar and demanded action on this matter. After submitting the memorandum to the Governor, BJP MLA from Ranchi CP Singh while talking to the media said that finding two PAN cards and four voter ID cards in the name of MLA Shweta Singh is a matter of great concern. The MLA said that MLA Shweta Singh has also deceived the Election Commission in this matter. The affidavit filed by Shweta Singh in the election should also be investigated and the voter ID cards that have been found should also be investigated. Former MLA from Bokaro Biranchi Narayan said that Shweta Singh has two PAN cards in her name, in which one PAN card has her fathers name and the other has her husbands name.  She has filled this same PAN card number in the nomination form for the Assembly elections 2024. He said that now the question arises that when MLA Shweta Singh already had a PAN card in her name, then why and under what circumstances she got a second PAN card made. This is a matter of thorough investigation. Biranchi Narayan said that he will also complain to the Election Commission regarding this matter.
