Ranchi Deputy Commissioner (DC) Manjunath Bhajantri has now taken cognizance of the irregularities in 5.19 acres of land recorded in account number 20 of Ratu Zone. He has ordered the SDO to investigate the matter and submit a report within a week. Ratu Circle CO Ravi Kumar changed the ownership of a total of 4 acres 69 decimals of land by mutating three cases number 3454, 3456 and 5078. This case has raised questions on the functioning of the zone offices and the intentions of the officials. Not only Ratu, now Kanke zone has also come under the heat of land scam. BJP leader Babulal Marandi has made serious allegations against the Circle Officer (CO) of Kanke and has written a letter to the DC in this regard. On this, the administration has taken immediate action and assigned the responsibility of investigating the matter to the SDO. A total of 5.19 acres of land registered in account number 20 of Ratu Anchal Belangi Mauza, which is forest land according to the documents, has been fraudulently registered in the name of a person named Sheikh Gulla in the online register-2. If sources are to be believed, this land is already registered in the name of a tribal raiyat. In the report related to the Anchal office, it has been declared as forest land as per the instructions of the Supreme Court. Despite this, it has been registered in register-2 by showing it as general plot. The shocking thing is that the mutation of this land has not been done till now. Earlier, the employee who was handling the responsibility of this circle had clearly refused to do the mutation. Soon after this, his circle was changed and a new employee was posted. In this entire matter, Anchal Officer (CO) Ravi Kumar has maintained silence. Efforts were made to contact him for the last 15 days, but neither was he found in the office nor did he pick up the phone. On getting the COs side, it will also be published with priority.
