States Agriculture, Animal Husbandry and Cooperative Minister Shilpi Neha Tirkey participated in the Video Conferencing of Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan regarding the Developed Agriculture Resolution Campaign which will run from 29 May to 12 June across the country. The campaign has been targeted to be conducted in 700 districts across the country with the objective of creating awareness about Kharif crops among farmers. This campaign will be conducted by the Department of Agricultural Research and Education (DARE)/Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) and Department of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare (DA&FW), Government of India. The pre-kharif campaign will start on 29 May from Puri location (nearby Krishi Vigyan Kendras) of Odisha state. Jharkhands Agriculture, Animal Husbandry and Cooperative Minister Shilpi Neha Tirkey, while speaking during the VC, said that every year in the state, Seed Day is celebrated on 25th May for Kharif crop awareness among farmers. This time also the department has made extensive preparations for Seed Day. Along with this, the department will fully cooperate for the success of "Developed Agriculture Sankalp Abhiyan" in Jharkhand. Objective of Developed Agriculture Sankalp Abhiyan is to make farmers aware about the major crops grown in Kharif season for a specific area and modern techniques related to animal husbandry, poultry, fisheries etc. Also, it is to make farmers aware about various government schemes and policies useful for farmers, to give information to farmers about the benefits of Soil Health Card and to make them aware about the selection of crops and use of fertilizers as per the knowledge available in it. The campaign is also aimed at taking feedback from farmers so that scientific information can be obtained about the innovation done by them. Accordingly, research can be given a new direction.
