Guv appeals to teachers to become carriers of values

Governor Santosh Kumar Gangwar while addressing the closing ceremony of Tribal Acharya Training Program/Workshop organized by Vidya Vikas Samiti, Jharkhand at Acharya Training Center, Kudlung, Nagari, Ranchi today said that this effort to reach the tribal areas with education based on Indian thinking, culture and life values is really praiseworthy. As many as 387 Acharyas from different districts of the state were present in this program. He said that I had heard and understood about your work earlier also, but today I am very happy to see it in person. The Governor congratulated all the trainees and specially appreciated the presence of women Acharyas and said that when a woman is educated, the whole society is educated and the scene here is a symbol of the deep roots of education in tribal society and the leading role of women. He said that under the Vidya Vikas Samiti, education is being made accessible in rural and tribal areas through 213 formal schools and 209 Saraswati Sanskar Kendras in Jharkhand. Free education based on values is also being provided in the neglected settlements of the city. This is highly commendable. He called it an excellent example of strong social service. The Governor expressed happiness that the educated youth of the tribal society are imparting education to the children of their village and society not only in alphabets and numbers but also in more important values. He underlined the participation of teachers from 264 blocks of the state as the awakening of national consciousness. Referring to the sensitivity and respect of the Prime Minister of the country towards the tribal society, he said that Jharkhand is being given priority in the establishment of Eklavya model residential schools. The Governor praised the concept of Vidya Bharati which has a clear objective that "no one should be deprived of value-based education." He called upon the teachers to become not just teachers in their respective fields but also to become carriers of values. He said, Everyone lives for themselves, but those who live for others, they are the ones who truly live. Society always remembers those who dedicate their lives for the uplift of society. Vidya Bharti, Jharkhand organised a five-day tribal workshop in Kudalum, Ranchi. In the closing ceremony of the tribal workshop, Governor Santosh Kumar Gangwar, was present as an esteemed guest. Presiding over the program, Ram Avatar Narsaria, President of Vidya Vikas Samiti, Jharkhand, said that today Vidya Bharati does not need any introduction. Vidya Bharati has been working in the field of education for the last 75 years. Considering tribal education as a challenging education, Vidya Bharati is ready to work in this direction and is providing education. The imagination of a developed India goes through this area. Mainly present on the stage were Devvrat Pahan, Sar Sanghchalak, Ramavatar Narsaria, State President, Jharkhand. Brajesh Kumar, State Minister, Jharkhand, Dr. Pooja, Vidya Vikas Samiti, Jharkhand Co-Minister, Sukhi Oraon, State Minister, Tribal Education Committee, Suhash Deshpande, All India Tribal Education Chief, Vishnu Kumar Jalan Treasurer, Vidya Vikas Samiti, Nakul Kumar Sharma, State Secretary, Vidya Vikas Samiti, Jharkhand and Ranthhu Oraon, Area Head of Tribal Education.
