Bokaro Deputy Commissioner (DC) Vijaya Jadhav intervened in a bribery case under the Abua Awas Yojana, ensuring that the illegally taken amount of Rs 20,000 was returned to the beneficiary.    The incident came to light during a Janata Darbar held last week at the Chandankiyari Block-cum-Circle Office, where beneficiary Subedar Chaudhary alleged that Rojgar Sevak Amar Kumar Bauri of Polkiri Panchayat had demanded and accepted a bribe of Rs 20,000 in exchange for the approval of his Abua Awas housing application. Supporting evidence was also submitted before the DC.   Upon verification, the complaint was found to be valid. The DC immediately directed the official to return the amount without delay. Following the return of the bribe money, Subedar Chaudhary personally visited the Collectorate on Tuesday to express his gratitude to the DC.   Meanwhile, Jadhav has directed the DRDA Director to initiate strict disciplinary action against the accused Rojgar Sevak. She firmly stated that harassment of beneficiaries at any level will not be tolerated, and such cases will be dealt with zero tolerance.
