CM Soren reviews preparations for month long Shravani Mela

hief Minister Hemant Soren has suggested building a rest house with the consent of the peasants on the vacant land on the way to Shravani Mela. Chief Minister has also instructed to create a QR based complaint system to resolve the problems of the devotees. The Chief Minister who was chairing a high level meeting on preparations of Shravani Mela issued several directions to officials.  He also instructed all the departments to coordinate with each other and make arrangements for the preparation and security of the fair. It is worth mentioning that Shravami Mela will start from July 11. This fair lasts for a month. Lakhs of people reach Baba Shiv temple in Deoghar every day to offer water. This time 50 lakh devotees are expected to reach Shravani Mela. To provide more facilities to the devotees than before, the Chief Minister suggested to build a rest house on the empty land on the way to the fair. In which there should be arrangements from electricity, water, bathing, toilet to rest. After the fair is over, suggested to return the land of the peasants by cleaning it. The CM said that a large number of people from the country and abroad visit Baba Mandir and Bashukinath Mandir in Deoghar. Therefore, improve the crowd control and traffic control system. For this, instructions were given to deploy security forces in sufficient numbers and fix the speed limit of vehicles. The CM instructed the officials to install vehicle number plate reading cameras, so that those violating traffic rules can be identified. Urban Development Minister Sudivya Kumar, MLAs Suresh Paswan, Devendra Kunwar, Chief Secretary Alka Tiwari, DGP Anurag Gupta, Additional Chief Secretary to the Chief Minister Avinash Kumar, Principal Secretary MR Meena, Vandana Dadel, Santhal Zone IG Kranti Kumar Gardeshi, Deoghar DC Vishal Sagar, Deoghar SP Ajit Peter Dungdung, besides members of the Vaidyanath Dham-Baasukinath Tirtha Kshetra Vikas Authority were present in the meeting. Shravani Mela is a month-long Hindu festival held in the Hindi month of Shravan (July-August) at the Baba Baidyanath Dham temple in Deoghar, Jharkhand. Its one of the largest religious gatherings in India, attracting millions of devotees, especially Kanwariyas, who walk from Sultanganj to Deoghar to offer holy water from the Ganges to Lord Shiva.
