PIB & CBC Ranchi organises workshop ahead of Yoga Day

Central Communication Bureau and Press Information Bureau, Ranchi- both offices of the Government of India, jointly organised a workshop on Yoga awareness in CBC Ranchi campus 22 days before the 11th International Yoga Day to be celebrated today on June 21, 2025. Yoga Instructor and Audit Officer, Accountant General Office, Ranchi, Alok Kumar attended the program as chief guest. The awareness workshop started with lighting of lamp by the chief guest and officials of CBC and PIB, after which the chief guest was welcomed by presenting a shawl and a plant. At starting the program Shahid Rehman, Office Head of CBC Ranchi, gave information about the preparations being made by the Ministry of AYUSH, Government of India and the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting for the promotion of the 11th Yoga Day to be celebrated on June 21, 2025. In his address, Alok Kumar appreciated the continuous efforts being made by the Government of India to promote yoga and said that one should make yoga a part of life which gives health and long life. Kumar also gave information about the eight major elements of Ptanjalis Sutrapat Yoga and put forward various aspects related to it for everyone. Prince Kumar, Information Assistant, PIB Ranchi, Shivani Keshari, Social Media Executive and other officers and employees of Central Communication Bureau Ranchi and PIB participated in the workshop. The officers and employees also performed yoga asanas under the instructions of the chief guest and yoga instructor. On the occasion, Shivani administered the oath to avoid tobacco on the eve of World No Tobacco Day 2025. At the end of the workshop, Regional Publicity Officer Omkarnath Pandey gave the vote of thanks and thanked everyone for ensuring the success of the workshop by giving their time and participation.
