JMM (Jharkhand Mukti Morcha) general secretary Supriyo Bhattacharya has said that BJP state president and leader of opposition Babulal Marandis love for tribals is just a sham. He said that during his tenure as the first chief minister, Babulal Marandi ordered firing on tribals who came out in protest against the Koylakaro project and Netarhats field fire range. On the other hand, when he is in opposition, he talks empty words about not letting the tribals land be looted. Bhattacharya was speaking at a press conference here at the partys camp office in Harmu on Sunday. Bhattacharya said that Babulal Marandi had done the work of sabotaging the Jharkhand movement in unified Bihar. It was due to his efforts that the Bihar State Government Implementation Manual was assimilated in Jharkhand. At that time, JMM leader Stephen Marandi used to be the leader of the opposition. He said that 104 MoUs were signed during his tenure. At that time, they represented exploitation. He said that Babulal Marandi does not want to let RIMS-2 be constructed, whereas the Central Health Minister had asked the state Health Minister to improve the health. Even his leaders are not listening to him. Bhattacharya asked when Babulal will apologize to the people of the state for Tapkara and Netarhat Field Fire Range. He said that there is no decision on where RIMS-2 will be constructed. It is only mentioned in the budget, but due to unknown reasons Marandi has started spreading hatred among people in the State. Being the Leader of Opposition Marandi should act responsibly. Bhattacharya said that Babulal Marandis condition has now become such that even his own leaders are not paying attention to him. This is the reason why he has now come to a situation like a disgruntled cat scratches the pole. He asked when will Babulal Marandi apologize to the people of the state for incidents like Tapkara firing and Netarhat field firing range.
