Themed Beat Plastic Pollution, the week featured a series of awareness campaigns, competitions, and community engagement programmes, culminating in a tree plantation drive, the launch of an environmental magazine, and a prize distribution ceremony. On 4 June, as part of a sustainable lifestyle campaign, jute bags were distributed to employees. Addressing the occasion, Director (Technical)  Sanjay Kumar Singh encouraged personnel to embrace environmentally friendly habits and reduce plastic use. Simultaneously, awareness activities were conducted across various BCCL areas including Bastacolla, Lodna, Sijua, and others. These included rallies, presentations, workshops, and competitions, all contributing to the overarching theme of reducing plastic waste. The One Tree in Mothers Name initiative also witnessed widespread participation across the regions.
